CityVille Odd Day at the Zoo Goals: Everything you need to know

Apparently, one Odd Day in CityVille isn't enough, as Zynga has released a second (self-proclaimed) unusual set of goals in the game today, dealing with Ruth and Edgar's trip to the Zoo. Appropriately enough, the goal series is called "Odd Day at the Zoo," but they'll only be available to players that have already finished the original Zoo goals in the game. Again, these aren't to be confused with the "Odd Day with Rusty" goals, which were released earlier this month. We'll do our best to keep them straight for you, so check out our guide to completing this newest set below:

A Date at the Zoo

Collect from Jungle Habitat 1 Time
Get 2 Disposable Cameras
Collect from your Zoo Cafeteria 3 Times

Ruth wants to see the Ostriches (she says they're like "tall pigeons that can't fly"), so you'll need to help her do just that by asking your friends for two cameras via a general news feed post. Meanwhile, if you're looking to plow through the Zoo Cafeteria task quickly, just remember to only supply the Cafeteria with Goods, rather than multiple businesses at once. That way, your citizens have to go to the Cafeteria, as there are no other businesses open in your town at the time! Finish this first goal, and you'll earn 480 coins.

I Love Zoos

Supply 25 Businesses
Have 1 Savannah Habitat
Collect from the Savannah Habitat 5 Times

To earn the Savannah Habitat, you must first unlock all of the animals in the Jungle Habitat. From there, you'll simply need to wait a few hours between collections to eventually make it to five. The reward for finishing this goal is the Ostrich Buddies decoration, which offers a 5% bonus to surrounding homes or businesses.

Feathered Friend

Have 1 Ostrich House in your City
Harvest 35 Corn
Get 8 Ostrich Eggs

The Ostrich House seems to be the Ostrich Buddies decoration from the last goal, but with a different name. That being the case, you should be able to find it in your inventory, and can place it into your town for free. Meanwhile, corn takes an entire day to grow, so you might plant some corn early, if you know that this goal is coming, so that you don't have to wait later. Finishing off this final goal in the series (as of this writing) grants you 19 XP (I'll leave you to decide whether or not that's enough).

You know, these goals really weren't that odd. It seems like through them, Ruth and Edgar were able to have a great day at the zoo, even if Ruth is a bit of an eccentric in her obsession with ostriches. Perhaps that's why it was an odd day? Either way, if you're looking for something to do in your city, aside from decorating it for Zynga's beachfront contest, why not give these goals a go?

What do you think of these goals? Should we receive a special, exclusive reward for each of the goals, rather than just the second?

CityVille Governor's Run Act 2 Nature Goals: Everything you need to know

If you've been keeping up with the governor's election in CityVille, you'll now be ready for Act 2 to begin. After helping "the people" in Act 1, Act 2 sees you helping out special interest groups, starting with a nature-loving group led by Zookeeper Karen. If you don't want Captain Krunsch to earn Karen's vote (and those of her friends), you'll need to finish the following three goals.

When Nature Calls

    * Place Conservatory
    * Collect from Conservatory four times

The Conservatory is a new Community Building that requires 12 staff members to operate. Once you build the base, you'll need to ask 12 friends to come staff the building, at which point you'll gain a bonus of 3,750 citizens to your maximum population cap. Just collect its profits four times after it's built to finish this first goal. You'll receive eight energy when doing so.

Food For Thought

    * Ask friends for 6 Gardening Gloves
    * Water Rose Garden 5 Times
    * Harvest 80 Cranberries

You can have more than one Rose Garden in your city, so feel free to place multiples just so you don't have to wait for the same Garden to be ready five times in a row (a time-consuming process, to say the least). As for the Cranberries, these take 12 hours to grow. Finish this goal and you'll earn 840 Goods.

More Power To You

    * Ask friends for 12 Recyclable Bags
    * Collect from Produce Paradise 30 Times
    * Collect from City Works 6 Times

The City Works is another Community Building that you might already have in your town. If not, here's a guide to building one. As for the Produce Paradise, this is a Business that's available from the store. It requires 253 Goods to operate and gives you 1,413 coins in profit by default. To more quickly finish this particular step (since 30 times is a long time to wait), make sure that the Produce Paradise is the only business operating in your town so that all customers will come to it, allowing it to sell out much more quickly than normal. Finishing this third goal gives you the EV Charging Station, a business that requires 475 Goods to operate and produces 2,393 coins.

Since this is just the first part of the second act of the Governor's Run event in CityVille, once you finish two more sets you'll receive an additional item: the Capital Rotunda building. What's more, you don't have to complete the entirety of Act 1 in order to access these Act 2 goals either, and can have them all running simultaneously in your town - talk about multi-tasking! We'll make sure to let you know when additional political goals launch in the game, so keep checking back with us!

What do you think of these Nature goals? Are you enjoying the Governor's Run event so far? Sound off in the comments.

CityVille Governor's Run Toy Maker Goals: Everything you need to know

So, you've already helped the farmers in your quest to be governor in CityVille, and now it's time to help another group of citizens in your town: the toy makers. This newest trio of Toy Maker goals can be found after you've helped the farmers, and they'll also introduce a new Community Building to your town. Here's a complete rundown of what to expect, and how to earn the vote from these toy makers. Note: you must be at least level 50 to access these goals.

The Misfit Toy Maker

    * Place and Build a Toy Factory
    * Collect from the Toy Factory 10 Times

Unfortunately, this goal requires you to build a new community building in your town, so I hope you have enough room to do so. The Toy Factory sits on a 4x4 square plot of land, and would normally cost 1.25 million coins to buy in the market, although there are rumblings that you'll receive one for free in your inventory once you start these goals (I personally didn't receive one, but whether that's a glitch, or by design I can't say). The building adds a whopping 3,750 citizens to your maximum population cap, and requires 12 staff members to complete. That is, you'll need to ask 12 friends to help you complete the construction of this one, so I hope they're helpful! For finishing this first goal, you'll receive 2,800 coins as a reward.

Toy Soldier

    * Ask friends for 12 Toy Blocks
    * Upgrade Toy Store to Level 2
    * Place 20 Hearts in your city

As we've told you before, the Hearts are markers you can place in your town to let your friends know exactly which items to interact with whenever they visit. You can add them to your town by accessing the "Get Help" button in the cursor menu in the bottom right corner of the screen. As for upgrading the Toy Store, you can find a complete guide to doing so right here. Finish this goal and you'll receive 1,400 Goods.

Playtime is Over

    * Ask friends for 15 Wooden Duckies
    * Build Toy Tower
    * Collect from Toy Tower 15 Times

The Toy Tower is a new business that costs 1.75 million coins to purchase from the store. Hopefully we'll receive a free one of these as well, but if not - we've been warned! Once built, it requires a whopping 475 Goods to operate, and will supply you with 2,393 coins by default when collecting its profits, if you don't surround the building with payout bonus decorations. As for the Wooden Duckies, just ask your friends to send them to you, and you'll eventually finish this one off (not that it'll be easy, but it's not impossible either). Finish this final Toy Maker goal and you'll receive 100 XP. Whether or not that's worth all of the Goods you've spent on your Toy Tower or not will be up to you.

At this point, you will have finished helping the Toy Makers in your run for Governor, but still have one more group to help before Act 2 of this new political feature will start. We'll make sure to let you know what that final part entails as soon as we know more, so keep checking back.

What do you think of these Toy Maker goals? Are they too complicated to be in the middle of a larger feature, possible causing some users to get stuck, or do you appreciate such a challenge? Sound off in the comments.
